The events of this week have been extraordinary. Life is reducing to its simplicities. Last night, as I sat with the homeless and hungry chatting about hard times in my ancestral family and listening to their equally poignant stories at my table, I pondered where all our fast-living had and was taking us. It seems there is so little overall interest in following God's daily path for each of us. So many stumbling through life allowing "sin, flesh, world or the evil one" to shape and control their lives.
A huge legacy and perhaps, if we are lucky, the financial system will unwind our overspending in a year or two, I am concerned that it will take much longer to re-educate this generation and have the majority at least try to follow God's plan for them and be able to fight the "world et al" and listen to HIM.
As Eldredge puts it quite succintly ... the battle is so complex ... that our only real chance is to follow HIS leading, to navigate through these fast-moving waters.
And so today ... I find myself again humbly asking for HIS grace and mercy this day ... acknowledging my sinfulness and humbly seeking HIS presence, to guide my daily walk.
I trust and love you God.

Awoken, but injured (neck-strain) ... 1st week back from Canada
This week has been one of stretching exercises! My "life-groups" are pleased to hear from me and I have been uniformly greeted.
My focus now is exploration of teaching opportunities and, as was apparent on my trip, if I express myself without fear and from the heart, many surprising people and opportunities emerge.
However, as John Eldredge pointed out in "Waking The Dead" ... you will be opposed! The fight continues ...
